Participants in outdoor education workshops for teachers will gain practical experience and first-hand knowledge on how to integrate outdoor education into formal education. Our workshops will provide participants with tools, ideas, and best practices, as well as practical experience and first-hand knowledge on how to integrate outdoor education into formal education.

The overall goal of these courses is to promote quality and creativity in education by providing teachers and other education professionals with the fundamental information and skills necessary to include outdoor education activities into their curriculum.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Teachers will be able to do the following:

  • Learn about the essential features and emerging trends in outdoor education and teaching outside of the classroom by attending this workshop.
  • Learn about and explore the ideas of outdoor education, as well as the cultural components of it.
  • Acquire knowledge on how to design, plan, and present inspirational outdoor education events.
  • Learn about and put into practice working strategies and concepts for environmental and outdoor education;
  • Acquaint theirselves with and participate in practical exercises and group games that could be used and integrated into a real-world course;
  • Participants will learn how to use outdoor education to help you with your personal, social, and relational development (e.g. self-confidence, team building, leadership…).
  • Participants will exchange best practices and share their outdoor education experiences with teachers and education staff from all over Europe during the conference.
