COURSE DURATION: 5 DAYS

In this course, teachers of English and other foreign languages who want to use more creative methods of teaching in their classrooms and share their experiences with other teachers from throughout Europe will learn.

It is expected that participants would use a variety of methods to teach the four language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) in a variety of innovative ways in this course.

Storytelling, filmmaking, acting, and class publications will also be discussed as ways to improve language teaching and make classroom activities more engaging and enjoyable. Learn more about distinct settings of learning, student versus teacher roles, classroom management and reflective teaching practices.

In this course, participants will learn how to keep students motivated and how to establish an effective and dynamic learning environment in the classroom by the conclusion of it.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants in this training will get the ability to:

• Teaach English as a second language for international students
• Get nn understanding of pupils’ learning styles and the ability to adjust one’s teaching style
• Map approaches, visual thinking, visual instructional methodologies, and creative thinking;
• Use new teaching methods to plan lessons;
• Evaluate complicated competences: teacher-, peer-, and self-assessment;
• Use visual resources as a technique of developing high-order skills;
• Manage ICT tools in education: quizzes and serious games, classroom management platforms, online portfolios.

DAILY PROGRAMME

Day 1

• Introduction to the course, the school, and the events that will take place outside of the classroom this week;
• Dynamic icebreakers that establish trust and ensemble cohesion.

Day 2

• Participant and culture needs and goals are identified;
• Describe your classroom’s successes and failures.
• Work in teams and in pairs;
• Student-focused classes versus those focusing on the teacher
• Questions and reflections in a journal;
• Presentations of the schools attended by the attendees.

Day 3

• CLT, or “Communicative Language Teaching”
• What is the level of communication and participation in your class?
• Activities that include exchanging information with others;
• Applied Language Education;
• Questions and reflections in a journal;

Day 4

• Replicas and Artifacts;
• Using a task-based approach
• Using stories to teach languages
• Drama Pedagogy in the Language Classroom: The Creative Classroom

Day 5

• The evaluation of the course includes a review of the skills and knowledge students have gained, as well as comments from the instructor and class discussion.
• The giving of the Certificate of Attendance upon course completion;
• Adventures and other cultural activities.
